Thinking about buying a Kindle 3?
So, I want to get the new 3rd gen Kindle. But I don’t know whether I should get the one with just the built in WiFi or the one with WiFi and 3G. Any opinions?
If it was me I would be choosing between either the basic kindle for $114:

The 3g model is great on two fronts really. One, you can use free unlimited web on the device with no monthly bills. So you can use it to access news/blogs/facebook/checking email etc for free.
The other thing good about the 3g model, if your not a “computer” person, is there is nothing to setup. You can buy books and have them automatically load on your kindle.
Whereas if you buy the wifi kindle, you have to setup your own local wireless internet at home to download and buy books on your kindle.
So it really depends on you and what you want to do with it. But for me, the extra $75 for free 3g is a steal.
Either way, the kindle is great and I would recommend it.
