Kindle Question! Broken?

Ok well my Kindle 1st Generation has been freezing up a lot, so i called the CS and they are sending me out a new one free of charge. What I was wondering is Will I get the Generation 1 or will i get the Generation 2. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!!

I don’t have a Kindle so I can’t tell you for sure, but from what I can assume, they’re most likely going to send you the 1st Generation. You probably can call back and ask for an upgrade if you want to get the 2nd Generation, but that would depend on when you called and there might also be a fee. As far as I know, amazon was only sending out the 2nd Generation to people who had order the 1st after a certain time. So I can only assume they’d send you the 1st, but you could ask to see if they would upgrade it for you.

This might not have helped you at all, so I’m sorry if it didn’t. And if you don’t mind me asking, how do you like the Kindle? I’ve been thinking about getting one.
