flip videocamera/editing software for youtube.?

Recently me & one of my friends started a youtube channel called lavenderflavored…lmfaoo.
Our 1st video is really good, but the lighting sucks, so were thinking about getting a flip video Camera in order to increase the quality of the vids. So my questions to you is this:
1:Is the flip video a good camera for youtube videos/what is the best camera for youtube vids?
2:What is the best FREE editing software for the vids?
3:Any opinions on my channel/videos?

1) the video quality for youtube videos are not really high quality, for obvious purposes, such as streaming. so choice of camera is not important. some people are still using old webcams to make youtube videos
2) if you’re using a PC, Windows Movie Maker is sufficient. on a mac this would be iMovie. Then you would need a utility to save your video into Flash Video Format (.flv). There is an excellent tool on the PC called Super.
