Flip Video Camera Ultra HD?
If you have one. . .what do you think ? worth the money?
Depends on what you are using it for. It can be a great resource for simply documenting events, but is a bad choice for more advanced filmmaking. It comes with a functional compressor-type mic built in, but you can’t run an external mic into it. You can’t change lenses. You have limited to no focus or iris control. That’s the bad news. The upside is that it manages these things for you – an option that I usually RAIL against – but for certain functions, it works consistently well. My good friend uses it to capture his band playing live (link below), and he is obsessed with details and quality – and it works for him. Again, you can’t shoot your feature film on it, or even good TV. But for basic capturing of video with basic audio, it rocks.
