So you are marketing online with videos. A great strategy and certainly many are having great success with web 2.0 marketing. There is minimal cost besides the cost of a webcam and maybe a headset and you can advertise what you have to offer the world.

The great thing about videos online is you create videos that are targeted directly to your market and broadcast them all over the world. The content you generate should be fun and engaging and be indirect rather than direct marketing. This means you are giving information about products or services but don’t directly pitch or sell. Stay the course, don’t do one video and expect miracles, 10 -20 videos and expect miracles. This is a long term approach, spend the time to populate enough information out there and build trust in the market and you will find success if you stick with it.

Ok Tip number 1. to get your video ranked high in the searches…

Tip number 2
Video Production: When making your video make sure you have a title with your website/ blog address at the beginning and end which plays for 5 seconds

Youtube will display based on the title, tags and description we provide so they are very important.

Tip number 3
Title: Choosing and writing the title for your video.. A simple marketing tip to rank your videos high in the Search engines and get more visitors is to use your keyword you are targeting twice in the title of your video.

Do some research what is your niche you are tarketing, for example – Marketing online is my niche and I may have a video about using facebook. So we want to target online marketers so that marketers come to our video and follow to our website or blog.

So my video is about facebook marketing so lets pick the keyword facebook marketing and type it in the youtube search bar. You will see the different videos on this keyword term. You want to use your keyword phrase in your title of your video. You can also get some related keywords in the suggestions list under the search bar when you type in your keyword phrase (facebook).

You tube lists the videos most relevant to the term searched. You should also look at the amount of views each video has and look at the videos that have been viewed the most. To find the most viewed go to search options on the left of the screen under the search bar and it gives you a list of different settings and options you can use. Click on view count under relevance this will tell you how many times a video has been viewed and list them by the most viewed. Look at the most viewed videos on your keyphrase that are relevant. Look at title of most viewed and do a similar title. Make sure it is relevant to the content of your video.

Tip number 4
Description: Do research on your description – look at the most viewed videos description box. First thing to include is the full URL of your website or blog…http://www. Yourwebsite.com . Also have the full website at the end of the description. Be detailed about the content of the video which is keyword rich and provide the viewer with some information about your website or blog. When writing description include the keywords and title.

Tip number 5
Tags: Tags are keywords you use for your video to be found. Look at the tags on the highly viewed videos, click on more information on the most viewed videos and you will see their description and tags on the right side of the video. Include a broad range of keywords. Can put tags in brackets to emphasize and use hyphens for the most common keywords. For example…tags for a video about facebook marketing may include Face book marketing, online marketing, marketing online, facebook-marketing, marketing-online, “facebook marketing”, “online marketing”.
